If you love farm-fresh produce and want to elevate your home cooking, Potomac Farmers Market is launching a new cooking class series perfect for you. What Makes This Cooking Class Special?
Farm-to-Table Experience: Each class spotlights ingredients harvested at their peak and available at the Potomac Farmers Market, held every Thursday from 3:00 to 6:30 pm. Expect to cook with vibrant, locally grown vegetables and fragrant herbs that are bursting with flavor and nutrition.
Expert Guidance: Chef Josh Carin brings his culinary expertise and passion for local food to the kitchen, guiding participants through approachable recipes and creative techniques that make the most of seasonal produce.
Community Connection: Classes are designed for cooks of all levels and emphasize learning together, sharing tips, and celebrating the bounty of local farms.
How It Works
Shop Thursdays, Cook Mondays: Pick up your favorite herbs and veggies at the market each Thursday, then join the class the following Monday to transform your haul into delicious dishes.
Seasonal Menus: Recipes change weekly, reflecting what’s freshest at the market. From crisp lettuces and juicy tomatoes to aromatic basil and hearty root vegetables, you’ll get to know new ingredients and how to use them.
Hands-On Learning: Classes are interactive, giving you the chance to see how to chop, sauté, and taste alongside Chef Carin. You’ll leave with new skills and recipes to try at home.
