Green Team Initiative: Plant, Chat & Chew — June 28, 2026

A wonderful “thyme” was had by all this past weekend at Potomac Church’s Green Team Initiative event, Plant, Chat & Chew.

Held on Sunday, June 28, this gathering brought together garden enthusiasts, curious beginners, and community members eager to learn and connect. The atmosphere was both relaxed and engaging, creating space for meaningful conversation centered on gardening, sustainability, and care for God’s creation.

Participants enjoyed a lively discussion led by knowledgeable experts from Good Earth, who shared practical gardening tips and answered a wide range of planting questions. From soil preparation to seasonal planting advice, and techniques on how to handle deer. Attendees left with new insights and inspiration to nurture their own gardens.

In addition to the educational component, the event provided time for fellowship over good food, reinforcing the joy of coming together as a community rooted in shared purpose and stewardship.
